The staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was good and the breakfast area, though small by some people's standards, never became congested during our stay. There are many places to eat nearby, and the hotel is only 100m from the nearest metro, so the whole of Paris is easily accessible..
The lift is very small if you happen to be on the upper floors. The bedroom carpet had seen better days, and the room could be hot at night following a warm day. Leaving the window open made the room too noisy. Earplugs?
All staf of Front Desk are fine while I stayed the hotel. The room is clean and facilit is good.
Convenienece outlet is for only domestic. If there were international standrad electrical hookup and small electric refrigerator in room, the hotel is perfect under reasonable price.
What did I like - not a lot. It served a purpose which was an over nighter in Paris, but other than that it was poor.
The staff were uninterested, uphelpful and terse. We had 5 rooms and it took us 45 minutes to get the key to the 5th room despite having asked for it a number of times and being told it had been given out. The rate went up when we got there and although it was only 1.68 euros per room it was still annoying to find that the "total price" quote when we booked was not what was charged.
Location in the Montmarte district was a good experience. Clean rooms and very friendly & helpful staff. The staff spoke English well and were helpful.
No air conditioning. It was quite warm in our room and we had to open the French Doors onto the street for air. With the doors open to the street, it was a bit noisy at night. Air conditioning would have made sleeping more comfortable and less noisy.
Clean, good linen, very adequate breakfast, good location for Metro.
Room not ready till 2pm (details said 11am). Small room, slightly scruffy, though fine as a tourist base.
Good location, very close to the Jules Joffrin tube station, with a lot of Cafes and restaurants which are open till late in the night (about midnight) so we didn't have to worry about coming late. Very friendly English speaking staff who are always eager to help you. The room was big and clean. We booked a room with three beds and yet it had space for the luggage and to move around. The room was made up and towels changed daily. It even had a big window which would open onto the street and made the room more airy especially at nights when it was calmer on the street below.
The lift was terribly small and would would stop at 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 etc floors instead of 1st , 2nd or 3rd floor. So you would have to climb the stairs anyway. The size of the lift was so small I had to carry my luggage in 3 installments. The baby stroller just wouldn't fit in so had to carry it up to my 2nd floor room everytime. It is a problem in paris that not all tube stations have escalators or elevators and most of them are multiple flights of stairs below. The same is the case with Jules Joffrin and we would have to carry the baby stroller up and down each time. It became really annoying especially at the end of the day when we were really exhausted. Once during our stay we had our things all over the room and didn't have the time to put everything back into our bags so we left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door but when we got back, the room was still made up which really surprised us...
Nice breakfast buffet, nice staff. My partner organized so the hotel came with cake to the room at 6am and they didn't charge us for it, which was very kind.
Thin walls. You can clearly hear through rooms and corridors.
Very small, but very cosy, nice and warm hotel. Stuf was very friendly, breakfast was good (but no meat;)), room was clean;)
The hotel is situated on a calm and peaceful location compared to the city central and the metro station is very near to Eden Montmartre which facilitates things.
The main lack was about our room: The double room has no bed for 2 persons as indicated but 2 different beds combined together. Also we think the breakfast service is quiet weak, not covering any of the French specialities.
Easy access to many attractions without staying too close to them where it is busy. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of shops and cafes around in the Monmartre area.
Breakfast area was quite small although the breakfast supplied was adequate and set you up for the day!! Rooms were a bit warm even for February but i'd rather be too hot than cold.
The bed was so confortable and big!! I slept really good!! and the heating worked good. There was a great tv in the room.
The staff was sometime rude. And when i arrived at 3 pm. the room was not ready yet. The breakfast was very basic but is economic. Although the hotel was close to a tube station is a little far to the center.
It is close to a metro station
The location is quite far from the centre, the breakfast was ok apart from the stale French stick. The shower was luke warm and had no pressure. The tea and coffee is available from reception which was annoying.
The hotel was fine as a simple, well-situated place to rest and sleep during a city break. The staff were polite and helpful. Help yourself breakfast was better than we expected. The shower was good. The room was very well cleaned each day. The Metro (Jules Joffrin) is close by. We had no complaints at all.
The walls could do with a lick of paint. New carpets would improve things.
Friendly and helpful staff, great situation for sight-seeing and soaking up atmosphere. Bed comfy, clean linen.
Very noisy room (second floor) due local cafes' late-night clientele. Would specify higher room next time if possible.
There was always somebody at the reception who was able to help us and answer questions in English;) Also the price of 50e for a double room plus breakfast was quite nice.
Real city center is definitely not in a walking distance, one has to count on reaching it by metro.
